The Comic
This comic is a Super Mario comic about four goons in Bowser's Castle.

The Four Main Characters are:

James:
A little fat bandit with a bit of an attitude whose job it is to steal things for Bowser. He's a bit mean, and really pushy! The other members of his thieving team are Steve, Goombalina and Betty.

Steve:
A tall gangly magikoopa who is a bit of a coward and not-so-good with magic. He wears hand me down robes that don't fit, and his only real skill is riding a broom. He and James have been friends since they were baby baddies.

Goombalina:
A beautiful battle master and the brains of the group! She wears a tall blue hat and yellow neck-tie. She never likes to be wrong... and she lives in Steve's hat!

Betty:
Betty the Boo is the newest addition to James' team of bandits. She can turn invisible, float through walls and paralyze enemies with her wicked tongue!




Purpose

This comic was mainly created so that the artists could practice Comic-Making before they make their own comics.

Plus, we wanted to prove that you can make a fan comic without it being out of character for the particular world it's set in.
In other words, this comic does not have blood, emo tards, hoards of swears, sex, or "pairings" that ruin the original characters.

Just good old Super Mario World fun!

Concept

Draw your favorite Goon (or Goons)!

--You may draw one of the actual Super Mario characters (Bowser, Mario, Peach, etc...), but, you MUST have at least one of the Goons in your picture, and our goons have to be in the spotlight--so they can't be way off in the background with Bowser or whoever as the main attraction.

--You may do fan-fiction if you wish.

--No gore.

--No sex.

--No non-canon couples, please.



Rules

1.) Keep it clean! No porn or R rated work.
2.) You can enter as many times as you want.
3.) Enter by sending us a note with "contest" as the subject and containing a link to your work.
4.) HAVE FUN!!

First Prize winner gets:

- The Keeper of the Box - The goons run into a dungeon-dweller named Fly, and the plot thickens!

- The Masquerade - What can go wrong at a Dance? Everything! Also introduced is the Super Mario World's most popular Princess!

- Thugs and a Creep - Fly is up to no good! He's scheming up some big plans that involve two new thugs!


Chapter Seven
- Desert Land - The Goons set off on their quest to find the seven keys to help unlock the Evil Bullet Bill King. their first stop - The Desert!


Chapter Eight
- The Hotdog Princess - What could be worse than travelling through the desert? Possibly travelling with a really talkative Princess who tries to sell everyone hotdogs!

Chapter Nine
- The Fight with King Pow - The goons attempt an escape from the former Anuboo temple and confront King Pow himself in a final battle for the first Key.

Chapter Ten
- The Plot Thickens - Having dealt with the trouble in Desert Land, the goons return to Bowser's Castle... and Team Pick-Pocket is up to something...

Chapter Eleven
- Star Port - The Goons have returned the key to the jack-in-the-box, and are ready for their next mission. This one leads them to a place unseen by regular mushroom-kingdomers.

It starts off innocently enough with them meeting a few more friends, and learning a few important lessons and the facts of life. Then things take a turn for the worse when the mages meet up with their old high school friends, who are hell bent on hating their ‘kind’ and want to make their lives as miserable as possible.
